We are pleased to present to you Greater Cleveland Works, greaterclevelandworks.org. The new name and brand for the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Workforce Development Board comes as we adopt a strategic plan that reflects our expanding role as a nonprofit. Our revamped organization is the result of years of research, exploration, and strategic discussions involving our board, staff, employers, job seekers, partners, and workforce development peers. We are grateful for your contributions to this process and continued support.
The changes we’ve made have been driven by a simple goal: To do better.
Our nonprofit status will enable us to double or triple our reach and bring greater resources and capacity to our system. Our new strategic plan sets a bold vision for the future, with goals around improved service and operational excellence, partnerships with employers and economic development organizations, increased funding opportunities and capacity to support the workforce development system. These initiatives that improve job quality, reduce racial disparities and strengthen the regional economy.
