Clyde R. McQueen serves as President and CEO of the Full Employment Council (FEC). He directs more than 80 employees and administers a $19 million budget for job training, education and economic development activities. He previously served as the State Division Director of Training and Employment Development for the Texas Department of Community Affairs. Prior to this assignment, Clyde served as the Administrator of Technical Programs in the Texas Economic Development Commission, where he worked with communities and various business/economic development groups to develop strategies for attracting business and industry into specific regions of the state of Texas. Prior to that time, Clyde worked at the same agency assisting small and minority businesses to secure financing, management and technical assistance, as well as procurement of private, state, and federal contracts.
Clyde holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Speech Communications and Political Science from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He has been with the FEC for 27 years.
